Dr. Sonali Santhanam is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and a Certified HypnoBirthing Practitioner. She has a Doctorate and a Master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh (USA). She is an American Board Certified Physical Therapist specializing in back pain and pelvic floor dysfunction. She founded Birth Basix as a platform to support couples through pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding. Also, she facilitates The Birth Workshop which is a childbirth education class that empowers couples with knowledge of their choices in childbirth. She combines her background in physical therapy and yoga to ensure women stay fit and strong through pregnancy. She has been associated with Suman Clinic as a childbirth educator and physical therapist for the past 9 years and counting.
